Abdominal tuberculosis in a baby (case report)

Abdominal tuberculosis is a specific tuberculous lesion of the abdominal organs. In children, mostly secondary, occurring mainly in form mesadenitis and intestinal tuberculosis. most cases (63–96%), process localized ileocecal valve. The article presents case untimely diagnosed with lymph node lesions peritoneum intestines child intrathoracic all groups during densification calcification onset. examination (computed tomography) revealed valve, while histology biopsy material taken colonoscopy showed granulomatous colitis mycobacterial nature. leading clinical manifestation was malabsorption syndrome increased protein-energy undernutrition. disease pattern rare localization — small intestine development jejunal stenosis, which led to significant disorder enteral nutrition severe trophological insufficiency. decisive factor determining cause laparotomy, performed presented signs acute obstruction. our opinion, an indication for diagnostic laparoscopy children should be considered syndrome, cannot corrected at therapeutic stage.
